The Reverend Granville M. Rayl, Th.D.
Founder of the International Bible College and Seminary
The International Bible College & Seminary started as International Bible Institute in June 1962 at St. Louis, Missouri. It began under the direction of Dr. Granville M. Rayl, and was established for the purpose of training ministers and laymen in Christian service and Bible knowledge.
In January 1973, the late Dr. Ralph Leslie MacMiller, a man with great vision for I.B.I. Became President of the Institute. His goal was to see the institute become a resident seminary. But during the year of 1973 Dr. MacMiller was suddenly called home to be with the Lord.
Dr. Rayl, with a desire to see Dr. MacMiller’s dream fulfilled, again assumed the presidency of I.B.I. In June 1980 the Institute became accredited and for a time was known as International Bible Institute and Theological Seminary. The name was later changed to International Bible College & Seminary.
Many goals of I.B.C. & S are being realized as we continue in the ministry of Christian education.
